Astrata Partners with NCQA to Support AI Learning Collaborative on Quality Measurement
Astrata Joins NCQA AI Learning Collaborative to Advance Responsible AI in Healthcare
Participation will help inform leading practices for responsible AI implementation in healthcare through peer learning, real-world case studies and practical implementation guidance.
Pittsburgh, PA, 10/01/2026 Astrata, today announced its participation in the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s (NCQA) AI Learning Collaborative on Quality Measurement, an initiative designed to help healthcare organizations responsibly evaluate, implement and scale artificial intelligence applications in healthcare.
NCQA’s AI Learning Collaborative brings together healthcare organizations to explore responsible AI adoption through peer learning, leading practice guidance and evolving, outcomes-oriented playbooks. The program is designed to help organizations apply AI with appropriate governance, operational discipline, and measurable impact. Initial collaborative work is focused on prior authorization, with quality measurement emerging as the next use case for the learning collaborative.
As a Case Study contributor, Astrata will contribute real-world perspectives and insights on the use of AI in quality measurement to help inform practical approaches to AI implementation while engaging with peers across the healthcare ecosystem.
“AI is increasingly used by health insurers to reduce administrative burden of quality measurement and speed up care, but only if it’s done with rigor,” said Rebecca Jacobson, CEO, Astrata. “NCQA has long set the standard for healthcare quality. We’re proud to contribute to a collaborative that applies that same discipline to AI, so that healthcare organizations can adopt it with confidence and show measurable impact.”
“NCQA’s AI Learning Collaborative is designed to help healthcare organizations move beyond exploration and toward responsible, practical implementation of AI,” said Vik Wadhwani, Chief Product & Transformation Officer, NCQA. “By bringing together organizations willing to share real-world experiences, challenges and lessons learned, we can help develop practical guidance that supports effective governance, measurable outcomes and responsible adoption across the healthcare industry.”
